Franklin Halves are a series of 50-cent pieces minted by the United States from 1948 to 1963. Designed by Benjamin Franklin, these coins feature an image of Franklin on the obverse and the Liberty Bell on the reverse. The 1954 Franklin Half Dollar is particularly noteworthy for its relatively high mintages, with coins struck at both the Philadelphia and Denver mints. These coins are popular among collectors for their historical significance and silver content, being composed of 90% silver.
