Sacagawea Dollars are a series of one-dollar coins issued by the United States Mint, first released in the year 2000. These coins feature an image of Sacagawea, the Native American woman who assisted Lewis and Clark during their exploration of the American West. The obverse (front) design showcases her portrait, while the reverse features an image of an eagle in flight.
