Flowing Hair Dollars are among the first silver dollar coins issued by the United States, produced in 1794 and 1795. The inaugural design, created by Robert Scott, features a depiction of Liberty with flowing hair on the obverse and an eagle on the reverse. The 1800 issue of the dollar does not specifically belong to the Flowing Hair series, as the design transitioned to the Draped Bust Dollar by then; however, early dollar coins, including the Flowing Hair type, are highly sought after by collectors for their historical significance and rarity.
