Denver - Coins

The 1968 Lincoln Cent, produced at the Denver Mint, is a part of the Lincoln series, which features President Abraham Lincoln on the obverse and the Lincoln Memorial on the reverse (introduced in 1959). Prior to this design, the Wheat Reverse, used from 1909 to 1958, depicted two ears of wheat flanking the words "One Cent." The 1968 cent does not have a significant numismatic premium but is still collected by enthusiasts, particularly for its role in the transition of the Lincoln cent design. Collectors often seek out the Wheat Reverse versions due to their historical significance and age.
