The 1944-S Mercury dime is extremely common in all the widely traded grades, including those pieces with Full Bands designation. While MS67 examples are available with some regularity in the marketplace, specimens grading higher are rare and often command impressive premiums.

IN GOD WE TRUST appears left of the neck and the date is positioned just below the bust around 5 o'clock. The designer's initials "AW" appear to the right of the neck.
