One of the most common Denver-minted Buffalo nickels, the 1936-D is widely available in all grades. Thousands are known in MS65, hundreds in MS66, dozens in MS67, and a handful in MS68, with the latter pieces inspiring bids well into the five figures. These, of course, find an enthusiastic collecting audience with registry set builders who wish to obtain the best possible example of the issue for their collections.
