1926-S $20

Coin / United States of America / 1926 / San Francisco / $20 Saint Gaudens Gold / $20 (Twenty Dollars)

While the 1926-S $20 is one of the most common mintmarked Saints of the period, it is still a very scarce coin in all grades, especially in grades of MS65 or better. Historically, this coin was regarded a far greater rarity than it is even known to be today, but the discoveries of a few small European hoards changed that in the 1950s and 1960s.
