While common in circulated grades, the 1918-D Mercury dime is very scarce in uncirculated condition, with nice Mint State examples extraordinarily rare. Strike is usually on the mushier side, with relatively few exhibiting Full Bands details. Many classify this issue as a conditional key date, considering it among the toughest dates in the entire series to find in the Gem and Superb Gem levels.
