1917-D 50c Mintmark Obverse

Coin / United States of America / 1917 / Denver / Walking Liberty Halves / 50c

This Walking Liberty Half Dollar variety has the mintmark appearing on the obverse, though many collectors just view it as part of the regular set. Three others have a similar distinction but, this issue happens to be the most common in uncirculated condition. Circulated grades are relatively plentiful but not common. This variety is scarce through MS64, very scarce in MS65 and considered rare in MS66.
