1897 5c

Coin / United States of America / 1897 / Philadelphia / V-Nickels / 5c

The 1897 V Nickel is the highest mintage so far in the series with over 20.4 million coins struck. It is very common from circulated grades up to and including MS65, leaving just the finest of gems with any scarcity at all. A great type coin as it is affordable; but, beware of the strike as it ranges from weak to strong quite sporadically.
