1893 $20

Coin / United States of America / 1893 / Philadelphia / $20 Liberty Gold / $20 (Twenty Dollars)

A suprisingly rare issue in proof. It is thought that many of the coins struck as proofs were melted or spent due to a massive recession. According to John Albanese all (or nearly all) of the known examples exhibit deep cameo surfaces.
