The 1880 Proof Three Cent Nickel is the ultimate type coin for its series as the mintage rises drastically to approximately twice that of recent issues, at 6,609 coins. Common throughout all grades except the absolute finest gems. Attractive color and strong strikes can be found with some searching. Cameos bring a minor, gradual premium with the increase in rarity and desirability coming from the deep cameos.
