The 1879 Proof Three Cent Nickel is a fantastic type coin for its series as it is relatively affordable and has a higher mintage of 3,200 coins. Common throughout all grades except the absolute finest gems. There is a modest premium for cameos. Deep cameos are increasingly rare and coveted. Eye catching color and strong strikes can be found with some searching.
