'The 1874 Proof Three Cent Nickel had a mintage of only 700 coins with most pieces surviving. Common through PR65 and scarce at PR66. Any finer examples would be deemed rare. A slight premium is associated with cameos and deep cameos are considered rare and in demand. With some searching, collectors will certainly find specimens with gorgeous color and noteworthy strikes.
