The Mountain $10, as it is known, is among the most popular pioneer gold coins. Although the mountain appearing on its obverse does not resemble Pikes Peak in any way, it has become emblematic of the Colorado gold rush. Somewhere between 100 and 150 examples are known today, the finest of which would grade choice uncirculated. A fully original, truly uncirculated example would qualify for the condition census.
