The 1855 twenty-dollar piece is similar to that of 1854. The letters on the reverse are larger and the arrows longer on one 1854 variety. There are die varieties of both. Approximately 150 1855-dated Kellogg $20s are known today from at least three distinct die pairings. The K-3 shares the long arrows reverse die with the 1854 Kagin-2 Kellogg $20. Somewhere around a dozen mint-state examples are known for all varieties of 1855 Kellogg $20s, and any original, attractive uncirculated specimen would qualify for the condition census. 29 examples were recovered from the S.S. Central America.
