1830 G$10 Templeton Reid K-3

Coin / United States of America / 1830 / Georgia / Templeton Reid / G$10

As the earliest privately minted gold eagle, the Kagin-3 Templeton Reid $10 is one of the most desirable rarities of the pioneer gold series. Of six known examples, only three are in private hands: an XF/AU once owned by Virgil Brand, a VG from the Clifford/Kagin Collection, and a repaired VF formerly owned by J.F. Bell, Raymond, Lilly, and R. Henry Norweb.
